"The mini Bootcamp provided a good grounding for establishing definitions and the key components for drafting a proposal likely to succeed, with further detail addressed by the intensive workshop. The collaborative, face-to-face session then allowed a deep-dive into the effective assessment of scientific proposals, emphasised the need for clear and accurate scoping from the outset (to manage the expectations of both research providers and funding stakeholders), and the many considerations that are needed during the process to ensure a successful outcome (ie ethics considerations, IP, alignment with an organisation's strategic goals, etc.)."
